A beautiful museum with an open, historic house feel to it. There are a lot of works from local artists with one of the largest collections of the Wyeth works. A good mix of art medias are used and the layout of the museum lends to a good flow. I have been there a few times around the holidays for miniature train collections. The museum shop is airy and they sell many prints, cards, and other art type gifts. The museum itself is convenient to a lot of other attractions and is set right on the Brandywine river - very scenic and a nice museum to visit.

The Brandywine River museum or Wyeth Museum is located along the bank of the picturesque Brandywine River in an old gristmill from the 1800's. Much of the art of the museum comes from the Wyeth family, although there are also a good number of works by other local artists. There is a nice gift shop and restaurant to check out after visiting the rest of the museum.
